TARS 5K Race Description
LOCATION: The Water’s Edge Park
DATE: Friday, April 10, 2026
TIME: 6pm
Packet pick up: Thursday, April 9th: 11-2pm & 4:30-5:45pm at Fleet Feet (1412 Airline) and Day of race: 4:30-6pm at the event.
Important!! Kids prices will increase on March 1st to $25, please make sure to register early.
Virtual Option - Select this option if you are unable to attend but would still like to be part of the event. Virtual Runners receive an event T-shirt and finisher medal! Please tag us on social media when you complete your 5K!
Come join us for our 4th Annual TARS Awareness 5k!! Wear your blue shirt to support all those with TARS. Help us TARS "SEEN" & "HEARD"!! We hope to see you there!
About TARS Awareness Texas
TARS Awareness Texas is a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by TARS Syndrome while raising awareness, education, and inclusion in our communities.
Part of our outreach includes our Emma’s Adventures children’s book series — Emma Goes to the Circus, Emma Goes to Church, and the upcoming Emma Goes to the Beach. These stories help children understand differences, build empathy, and see that having a rare condition does not limit what someone can do.
Beyond books, TARS Awareness Texas provides family support, community outreach, educational resources, advocacy, and inclusive events like our annual 5K & 1-Mile Walk. Our mission is simple: to ensure individuals with TARS are seen, supported, and celebrated — because rare doesn’t mean alone.
