Run the Runway 

Enjoy a scenic run or walk on one of the airport's runways, outfitted with planes, trucks, special vehicles, and more! 

 

Location: Corpus Christi International Airport – 1000 International Dr. Corpus Christi, TX 78406 

 

Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024

 

Event Start Time: 

1K – 8:00 a.m. 

5K – 8:15 a.m. 

 

Event Registration: 

5K - $30 ($40 after August 31st)

1K - $20

 

Packet Pick-Up

Friday, September 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

About Wings of Texas

Wings of Texas works to make the Coastal Bend a more inclusive place to live, work, play, and learn for people of all abilities!

Wings of Texas is a local 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making our community more accessible for people with disabilities. We were founded in 2014 as an adaptive running program by Rusty and Michelle Jones - parents of a child with disabilities who were concerned about the lack of inclusive opportunities for community engagement and socialization once their son aged out of the school system.

Today, Wings of Texas has grown to include multiple adaptive sports programs (running, cycling, swimming, triathlons, and bowling) and a variety of community-oriented activities & training opportunities all aimed at demonstrating the basic idea that #inclusionmatters!
