2020 CAPA RACE CANCELED FOR APRIL 4, 2020
Due to the updated information from the City of Corpus Christi and Nueces County concerning the COVID-19 virus, we are sad to share that we will have to cancel the race scheduled on April 4, 2020. At this time we do not have a new date for a race in 2020. We believe it is best to follow the precautions given to us by our local and national leaders and to make sure the health of our team, supporters, and children we work with is safe.
We want to thank everyone who has signed up to participate at this time. We value all our supporters and our sponsors and we would like to honor all entries with a free entry to our 2021 CAPA Race. Please keep your receipt for the 2020 race entry and they will all be honored at our next race. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month and this is still our top priority. The Nueces Child Welfare Foundation has supported and advocated for Nueces County children in foster care for over 21 years. We provide financial support, and networking tools for children in the care of the Department of Family and Protective Services. We strive to educate and raise awareness on topics of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention. Although we will not be able to gather with the community to help end child abuse we will still provide daily information all month on our Facebook page.
Please like www.facebook.com/nueceschildwelfarefoundation to receive information regarding child abuse prevention all month long. Information can also be found on our website www.nueceschildwelfarefoundation.org.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause on your plans. We appreciate you and your continued support.
